The talented, results-oriented candidate selected for our home office in Indianapolis, IN will spend 90 days learning the logistics industry and absorbing the Backhaul Direct laid back culture. This position is on our national sales team and requires an energetic, strategically focused and creative sales achiever that enjoys the latitude of working independently and effectively using their time management skills. The position includes a competitive salary plus uncapped commission opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and develop motor carrier relationships while managing existing relationships
  • Negotiate freight rates with carriers
  • Manage daily shipments to ensure customer needs are met 24/7
  • Work quickly to identify and resolve problems that arise
  • Sustain a positive attitude to communicate with team
  • Detail-oriented and possess organizational skills

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree highly desired
  • Demonstrated problem solving, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities
  • Previous sales experience preferred
